Our campsite is located between Heerenveen and Wolvega. Because of the central location of our grounds, several popular tourist spots in Friesland are located around the corner. By car you will be in Giethoorn, Terherne (the “Kameleon Village”), Sneek, or Appelscha in about 30 minutes. In addition to that, Thialf and “Sportstad Heerenveen”, which offers different sporting activities, are reachable by bike.

You can start your walk right from our campgrounds, for example, in the woods of Oranjewoud. Or you can, of course, start in the “Geele Bosch”. There are also many cycling routes, including one from the national bicycle network, if you prefer enjoying your surroundings by bike. In addition to that, our campsite is located on the LF3 route, which is the national bicycle route for long distances. Located at only 300 meters from the campground is the Tjonger. Here, you can fish and ride your boat on the “Turfroute”. The gardens of Le Roy are located at walking distance.

Unique to our location is that we are part of the Jabikspaad and also serve as a stamping station for the journey. These hikers are of course welcome to stay with us any time. They can stay in our hikers’ cabin or use our bed & breakfast service.
